    Excellent Podcast!

    Given lack of enforcement or punitive mechanisms built into court’s decision, China has no motivation to comply. Historically, as Nation States evolve into growing super powers, they tend to expand their territorial influence which also necessitates an increase in militarization to protect new territories acquired. In addition, global shifting nationalist climate may be an influencing political factor in China. Taiwan is a critical player. The upcoming USA Presidential elections will undoubtedly play a significant factor influencing our allies’ political calculations on how to deal with China’s territorial expansion.
